Hip Hop Ave Forums: How about an introduction for those who don't know you
Bosco: alright, its ya boy BOSCO, representin BOSTON 617, the Products Of Environment, listen out for us!
Hip Hop Ave Forums: you do mostly group or solo material
Bosco: well we did our group thing already, now we are all basically working on our solo's, but some of the tracks feature either some of the team, or other local Boston artists.
Hip Hop Ave Forums: how would you define your style?
Bosco: hmm...i switch my style up alot, i got a hood style, a soft style, and i recently located my style of making club type music...versatile basically
Hip Hop Ave Forums: when did you first start rapping?
Bosco: when i was 14 i freestyled alot, on through about 16, then i noticed some friends going into studios, i heard how the music sounded, so i tried it out, and loved the results, n took rappin up as a profession.
Hip Hop Ave Forums: and have you released any material in mixtapes or albums?
Bosco: my EP, the CODE OF SILENCE was released, a bunch of mixtapes, im on a bunch of local boston mixtapes, tracks featured on other emcees CDs, and my LP is being released shortly, hopefully by november, its hard work....
Hip Hop Ave Forums: and how long have you been working on the latest LP?
Bosco: since earlier this year, i took my time to collab with hot emcees, there is 17 tracks...8 are just me and the other 9 will feature other emcees, i have 14 done so far
Hip Hop Ave Forums: have you gotten any boston radio play, done any shows? Or are you still trying to get on that?
Bosco: just on a local boston station, 2 of them, they are just underground stations run out of emerson college, but they get alot of credit, and play hot songs, im working on JAMN 94.5, its basically the hot97 around here
Hip Hop Ave Forums: regarding your actual material, what do you find yourself writing about mostly
Bosco: my life, my experiences, then the hood rap, my studio material always consists of shit i been through, shit im going through etc etc. on the street its basically freestyle/battles/cyphers/
Hip Hop Ave Forums: What is a typical writing process of one song for you
Bosco: i write some lines down, go over them, change a few words, go over it again, and if i have to change it again, i tend to read and revise all my material several times until it is close to perfect, but nobodys material is perfect, but i want it to be the best it can.
Hip Hop Ave Forums: How much have online sites help you distribute or even improve your game
Bosco: well as far as online sites, music sites, i dont post my CD tracks, i post my practice, freestyles, or tracks that made it nowhere to give out a taste n not waste the music that makes the money, and battle sites like the ave, get me more into battling, chance to see where my text game is, and meet and collab with other emcees, something i enjoy.
Hip Hop Ave Forums: As an artist, what is your biggest accomplishment so far?
Bosco: hmm good one....probably releasing the CODE OF SILENCE, because ive seen SEVERAL people bumpin it in thier cars, when i meet people and mention my name they say, oh i copped your CD, or heard it and it was hot, i just get mad love for what i do, i feed off of the fans enjoyment, and i will keep it going
Hip Hop Ave Forums: What are some goals you want to accompish in the near (or far) future
Bosco: become famous, get rich, and i want to make professional music videos, just do the whole rich thing you know, shine in the lime-light, and raise my son successfully, i want him to look up to me and follow in the good part of my lifes footsteps, not my past
Hip Hop Ave Forums: ok now for some more personal stuff
Bosco: alright..
Hip Hop Ave Forums: what is one thing you wish you could do more of
Bosco: i have to switch that question...i wish i DID more legit shit in my life, never did jail time, and never had to deal with this long probation sentence
Hip Hop Ave Forums: are you more into the street rap or self-concious hip hop
Bosco: street rap only makes street money, studio music makes real money, so id pretty much rather focus on my lifestyle music because thats where the fame comes in
Hip Hop Ave Forums: favorite artist/album
Bosco: everyones all time fav is 2Pac....but my living favorite is JAY z...simply because of just his style, he is a laid back, rich money makin rapper, and reasonable doubt is my fav album.
